THE IDENTIFICATION AND ORIGIN OF THE VOLATILE COMPONENTS OF A FRESHLY MILLED MIXTURE OF NITROSO RUBBER AND CARBON BLACK.

Abstract

Bis(trifluoromethyl) amine and perfluoro (methylmethyleneamine) were positively identified in the volatiles obtained from a freshly milled mixture of nitroso rubber and carbon black, and it is highly probable that trifluoromethyl isocyanate was also present. Likely schemes for the formation of these products are proposed. (Author)
