FUNDAMENTAL STUDIES IN ELECTROCHEMISTRY.

Abstract

Survey of the electrochemical oxidation and reduction of organophosphorous compounds in nonaqueous media showed that phosphines, chlorothiophosphates, and phosphoramides are electroactive. The electroreduction of tris(p-nitrophenyl)phosphate produced a stable anion radical. A tentative assignment of the electron spin resonance spectra of this radical was made.
