REVERSIBLE OXYGEN ELECTRODES.

Abstract

The effect of pH in alkaline solution on the oxygen dissolution reaction on platinum was studied. It was found that the salt added to maintain constant ionic strength affects the rate constant for the reduction of H2O2. Complex oxide materials are used as electrodes in O2 reaction. Activity on a group of oxides known as bronzes changes with the composition of the bronze. (Author)
