OCEANOGRAPHY IN FRANCE, SPAIN AND PORTUGAL.

Abstract

The organization of oceanography in France is described and the distribution of research among the governmental, university and private institutions. The work of the Instituto Espanol de Oceanographie and the Instituto de Investigacions Pesqueras in Spain and of the Instituto Hidrografico in Portugal is described. (Author)
