THE DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE OF PRESSURE-SCANNING SWITCHES EMPLOYING O-RING SEALING,

Abstract

A description is given of a series of pressure-scanning switches designed to meet the problem of switching a multiplicity of pressures to the transducer used for measurement. Although designed for use on wind-tunnels such pressure switches would have applications in other directions in which accuracy and freedom from leakage are important over a range of pressures from several atmospheres down to a few micrometres of mercury. The performance of the switches is discussed, based on results obtained from wind tunnel tests. (Author)
