RESEARCH ON RELAXATION PROCESSES IN MAGNETIC MATERIALS.

Abstract

The previously developed theory of the longitudinal susceptibility of magnetically inhomogeneous materials has been extended by taking account of the finite width of the spin-wave resonances that give rise to this susceptibility. The improved theory has been compared with experimental results obtained on porous, polycrystalline YIG. It agrees considerably better with the data than the previous theory in which the spin-wave resonances were assumed to be infinitely narrow. (Author)
