STAINLESS-STEEL-LINED, GLASS-FILAMENT-WOUND TANKS FOR LONG-TERM STORAGE OF NITROGEN TETROXIDE AND OTHER PROPELLANTS.

Abstract

A time-phased program plan is presented for the design, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of 12-in.-dia by 37.34-in.-long, metal-lined, filament-wound tanks for the storage of nitrogen tetroxide. It includes design, fabrication, and test tasks. The design was prepared and reviewed during this report period. Tooling and the tank liners were fabricated and preparations were made for the filament winding of the tanks. (Author)
