AN ANALYTICAL MODEL OF THE MARZOLF INVERTER CIRCUIT.

Abstract

The Marzolf Inverter is an oscillating circuit which is capable ofproducing an appreciable a.c. voltage from a d.c. source voltage of less than one volt. The circuit consists of two matched tunnel diodes and a square loop magnetic core transformer. Following a description of the circuit operation, an analytical model is developed by which it is possible to accurately predict the circuit's operating characteristics. An investigation is made of various changes in the circuit's components which will result in improving the overall performance of the circuit. (Author)
