THE REACTION OF XENON HEXAFLUORIDE WITH STANNIC FLUORIDE.

Abstract

Stannic fluoride reacts with xenon hexafluoride, in excess, to form the solid compound, 4XeF6.SnF4. This material decomposes with the loss of XeF6 and when the ratio of XeF6 to SnF4 is below 1,3 the loss of xenon hexafluoride is very slow. (Author)
