SOLID STATE TECHNIQUES FOR MODULATING OPTICAL WAVES.

Abstract

This project was devoted to the selection of an optimum material, which resulted in the choice of KDA for the wideband modulator. The properties of KDA were investigated in detail, a preliminary microwave design was formulated, and construction of the modulator was begun. The modulator was tested extensively for its microwave properties and subsequently modified. The resulting design is very close to final.
