MECHANISMS OF REACTIONS OF OXIDIZERS.

Abstract

Progress during the year in the areas of catalytic and mechanistic studies, electrometric measurements, water determinations, and induction period measurements are summarized and references given to completed published work. Thermal analysis data are presented to illustrate the pronounced synergistic catalysis of ammonium nitrate decomposition which is obtained by employing a stoichiometric excebs of chloride with various transition metal salts. A patent application covering the phenomenon has been filed. (Author)
