EQUIPMENT FOR LASER REFLECTIVITY MEASUREMENTS AT 1.06 MICRONS,

Abstract

A program to determine the reflectivity of various targets at a wavelength of 1.06 microns is described. In order to complete this program it was necessary to design, build, and calibrate a laser illuminator and radiometer. This report contains a description of the equipment that was built and the calibration procedure that was used. The accuracy with which reflectivity measurements can be made with this equipment and the methods of improving the accuracy are also included. The reflectivity measurements determined with this equipment will be presented in a later report.
