INVESTIGATION FOR 2000 F POWER WIRE.

Abstract

This report discusses the last two methods evaluated for coating rhodium wire with flexible high temperature dielectric films. Thermal decomposition of triple-oxide coating and electrostatic deposition have been successfully completed. The final design of the power wire consists in bulk insulation of Kaowool, Refrasil sleeving, and quartz cord; the outer sheath is a knitted inconel wire mesh with monel electrical terminals. Power wire evaluation testing was completed and fabrication of sample wires has been initiated. (Author)
