PREPHASE I FOR DESIGN, FABRICATION, AND ORBITAL TESTING OF A SPACE STRUCTURE.

Abstract

Proposed configurations were studied, and the equations of motion and forcing functions to be used in the dynamic analysis were devised. The configuration study has been completed, and the trade-off studies of the two material concepts, the elastic recovery structural material concept versus the expandable honey-comb material concept, has been initiated. The dynamic analysis equation derivaton has been completed, and the development of the associated computer program has been started.
