OXIDIZER MISCIBILITY STUDIES,

Abstract

The three-phase (solid-liquid-gas) relationship for the binary system nitrogen tetroxide and oxygen was determined over the pressure range of 2.7 psia (triple-point pressure of pure N2O4) to 2175 psia. The addition of O2 to N2O4 was found to lower the freezing point of the system 24.7 F. The higher-temperature portion of the S-L-G locus was found to exhibit a minimum temperature of 40 psia and -12.9 F. (Author)
