BERYLLIUM OXIDE CERAMICS - PROCESSES, PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS.

Abstract

This report encompasses the present knowledge of beryllium oxide (beryllia) with respect to its natural occurrence, preparation from ores into a pure state and its chemical and physical properties. Methods of production of beryllia ceramics in the form of a pure oxide and in combinations with other substances, such as metals, other oxides or barbides, are described, and properties and applications of such ceramics presented.
