DYNAMIC STABILITY TESTS ON THE SNAP-27 FUEL CASK CONFIGURATION AT MACH NUMBERS 6 AND 10

Abstract

Tests were conducted to determine the dynamic stability characteristics of the SNAP-27 fuel cask configuration. These tests were conducted at Mach numbers 6 and 10 using the forced oscillation technique. Data were obtained at angles of attack from 0 to 14 deg for Reynolds numbers, based on centerbody diameter, ranging from 190,000 to 1,800,000.
