RADIO ECHO STUDIES OF THE MOON.

Abstract

These notes were written as a Chapter to be included in a book entitled 'The Moon.' They represent a summary of both the experimental and theoretical work carried out in the study of radar reflections from the moon, up to the beginning of 1960. There appears to be growing interest in this field and before long these notes will probably be out of date, though they may remain of some value as they present a historical development of the early work. In the meantime it is hoped that they will provide a source of references and background material for workers newly entering this field.
