THIRD TYPE I CONFIRMATORY TEST OF PRODUCTION MODEL M6, RLT, TEMPERATE ZONE.
Abstract
The test was conducted to determine and to establish the effectiveness and adequacy of all modifications incorporated in the production model and to determine if the modified production model M6 RLT equipped with expander tube brake system was suitable for issue. Modifications incorporated on the test item had no noticeable adverse effect on familiarizing and training operators, road and cross-country mobility, and the compatability with the 5-ton, 6x6, cargo truck; test item was suitable with respect to safety, and was compatible with skills, aptitudes, and limitations of operating and servicing personnel; and maintenance required on the modifications was accomplished readily.
