RESEARCH INTO NEW APPROACHES FOR VHF FILTER CRYSTALS.

Abstract

Efforts concern development of quartz resonators for VHF filter crystals with strong responses, useful ranges of dynamic characteristics, and with suppression of unwanted modes of vibration and quartz wafer structures wherein two or more independent resonators are achieved within a single monolithic wafer. Frequency response curves of representatives of each sample group are presented. The effects of insulating film tuning techniques on resonator motional parameters, frequency-temperature dependence, aging rate and Q sub m are discussed and sample data included.
