THE K-SYSTEM MAC-1 TROUBLE-SHOOTING TRAINER: I. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION.

Abstract

The K-System MAC-1 (Malfunction And Circuitry) Trouble-Shooting Trainer represents the basic operation of the K-3A Bombing-Navigational System under both normal and malfunctioning states, and yet avoids the complexities and cost of the typical realistic simulator. In this Trainer exact quantitative representation is sacrificed to make possible a relatively, simple, inexpensive device still permitting the freedom of manipulation of controls characteristic of trouble shooting the actual equipment. The approach taken in the design of this Trainer is one which fundamentally should be applicable to other armament systems or electro-mechanical systems in general.
