STUDY OF EFFECT OF HIGH-INTENSITY PULSED NUCLEAR RADIATION ON ELECTRONIC PARTS AND MATERIALS (SCORRE).

Abstract

Reported are the data and analysis on several dielectric (capacitors) and magnetic (ferrite memory core planes) materials exposed to 2 microsecond pulses of electrons at a rate of approximately 10 to the 9th power rads/second at the LINAC source. Further work with 40 nanosecond pulses of X-rays at a rate in excess of 10 to the 11th power rads/second was performed at the SFXR, but data analysis is not yet complete.
