STUDY AND INVESTIGATION OF MILLIMETER AND SUBMILLIMETER WAVE RECEIVER TECHNIQUES.

Abstract

This report has as its goal the development of video and superheterodyne detection techniques which are appropriate for the millimeter and submillimeter range of the spectrum. The theoretical analysis of a loop configuration tunnel diode mounted in a ground plane is concluded. The reactive component of the load impedance is calculated. Tunnel diodes have been fabricated in the loop configuration and 15 to 20 Gc/s oscillation frequencies are reported. Second harmonic output is also observed. (Author)
