A METHOD FOR DETERMINING INSTALLATION AND CHECK OUT STOCK REQUIREMENTS,

Abstract

In the provisioning of Navy Stock Fund repair parts to support conventional equipments, central inventory managers have been substantially free of the responsibility for providing 'installation and check out spare parts.' Today, the problem of provisioning for installation and check out requirements of stock funded material is encountered in the Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine program. In this program, new design equipments and quasi-experimental equipments are provisioned directly into the stock fund, under the control of a stock fund central inventory manager.
