DEVELOPMENT OF THE MK 98 MOD 0 DELAY DETONATOR,

Abstract

A nominal 12.5 second stab initiated, delay, detonator has been developed for the Mk 347 Mod 0 Bomb Fuze. This detonator has been subjected to the standard Navy rough handling and surveillance tests. A limited number of field tests were successful. Manufacture of a lot of detonators by private industry resulted in no fabrication problems. The detonator is completely documented with drawings and specifications.
