INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM (5TH) ON RAREFIED GAS DYNAMICS, 4-8 JULY 1966 OXFORD, ENGLAND.

Abstract

The Fifth Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics was held in Oxford from 4-8 July 1966. About 220 scientists and engineers from 18 countries attended the meeting and presented over 100 papers dealing with Applications of Kinetic Theory, Transition Flow, Interactions between Gas Molecules And Solid Surfaces and Ionospheric Aerodynamics. Among the new techniques discussed were high-energy molecular beams, electron beam probes for the analysis of flow fields and other diagnostic tools for experiments in low density wind tunnels. The proceedings will be published by Academic Press and are scheduled to appear before the end of the year. (Author)
