GRIDDED AMPLIFIER TUBES FOR PULSED C-BAND FREQUENCIES.

Abstract

Tubes of type EE-44 and EE-50 were assembled to evaluate the static characteristics and the progress of the grid development and to study the effects of very close interelectrode spacings. The coaxial output section of the EE-50 was evaluated over the required bandwidth. Additional analysis corroborated the need for a revised coaxial tube input section. The new design is discussed, as are the results of swept frequency evaluations of the EE-50. (Author)
