OPEN CYCLE MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC GENERATOR RESEARCH.

Abstract

Runs were made with the hall channel at five widely separated series loads. Electrical aerodynamic and heat transfer data were obtained on each of these runs. Comparison with predictions by theory have remained good but are incomplete since it has not been possible to run all the computer programs successfully. A preliminary test was made for instabilities in the hall channel. This test indicated the presence of high frequency oscillations. These oscillations are coherent rather than random electrode fluctuations.
