TUNABLE SOLID STATE GENERATOR.

Abstract

The first two stages of the 16 GHz solid state power source were fabricated and tested, and consisted of a transistor oscillator-doubler stage at 1.0 GHz followed by a varactor doubler stage at 2.0 GHz. The transistor driver delivered an output power of 2.3 W, with an efficiency of greater than 30%. The efficiency of the varactor doubler exceeded 55%, thus yielding an output power of 1.25 W at 2.0 GHz. In addition, the development of a 19.6 GHz solid state power source, as a special task, was completed. (Author)
