STUDYING THE MECHANISM OF SCALE FORMATION IN METAL CORROSION PROCESSES AT HIGH TEMPERATURES

Abstract

The principles of the application of radioisotope tracers in studying mechanism of oxydation of metals and alloys are briefly discussed. The results of investigations of sulphide scale layers formation on copper-zinc alloys by the use of zinc and sulphur isotopes are presented.
