SIMULATED LABORATORY TO OV-4 EXPERIMENT.
Abstract
The interfaces constitute all physical (electrical, structural, mechanical, etc.) and functional (performance, pressure, volume, voltage, temperature, sequencing, etc.) characteristics which affect the design, testing, checkout, operation, and mating of the equipment or systems of either one of the two program participants on the other. This experiment consists of two satellites/launchers, 27 inches maximum in diameter by 60 inches maximum long. Both forward dome of the Simulated Laboratory. The two satellites will be ejected from the Simulated Laboratory during the stabilized portion of orbital flight. The Secondary Payloads Mission will be performed by Titan IIIC Vehicle No. 9. It is a tertiary mission of the MOL-HSQ Program. The trajectory through the first transtage burn and separation of the Gemini re-entry module shall be as defined by the requirements of the MOL-HSQ Program. The Secondary Payloads Mission will be accomplished using the restart capability of the transtage to perform the orbit change maneuver. Retro rockets will be added on the Simulated Laboratory, to increase separation distance from the Gemini re-entry module prior to the restart of the main transtage engines. Attitude orientation, as required during coast and for the payload separation sequence, will be provided by the transtage attitude control system (ACS).
