THE ROME AIR DEVELOPMENT CENTER ASSEMBLY PROGRAM (RADCAP). VOLUME V. FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR LOCAL CONTROL PROGRAM.

Abstract

This report describes the design techniques and computer programs of the RADC Assembly Program (RADCAP). Phase 1 can be described as three tasks. The first concentrated on studies of floatability, segmentation, and rollback and recovery aspects of a time-shared assembler. The second task, known as the Stage 1 Assembler, was an off-line assembler that produced object code to operate in a time-shared environment. (These two tasks are contained in Volume 1 of this report.) The third task of Phase 1 was the implementation of RADCAP under control of the Executive Control Program (Volume 2). The second major phase of work consisted of a set of five tasks: (1) Basic mathematical subroutine library and a library maintenance program; (2) a report generator; (3) program debugging package; (4) RADCAP programming manual; and (5) study of dynamic program structures.
