PROPOSED METHOD FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE HEAT BUDGET IN THE SURFACE LAYER OF THE SEA.

Abstract

Exclusion of terms in the heat budget equation limits successful prediction of oceanic thermal structure. A method is proposed to include the net radiant heat flux, advection, and eddy conductivity terms. Inclusion of these terms is necessary before the thermal structure can be accurately predicted.
