STAGE 64: SORTIE PROGRAMMER PROGRAMMERS NOTES, VOLUME II. APPENDICES.

Abstract

The Sortie Programmer is a digital computer program designed as a tool for use in planning sorties for global air war. A major use of the Sortie Programmer is to aid the preparation of sortie plans for large computer simulations of such an air war. In this context the organization of the program is described. The method of construction of detailed sortie specifications from the input lists is discussed. The algorithms used in all parts of the program are explicitly stated. Detailed directions for furnishing the program with planning guidance are included. The exact structure and meaning of the output is specified. (Author)
