NERVA COMPONENTS IRRADIATION PROGRAM. VOLUME 1: GTR TEST 11,

Abstract

An experiment was performed utilizing Ground Test Reactor to determine the effects of combined reactor radiation and cryogenic (liquid nitrogen) temperatures on linear motion displacement transducers (LMDT's), WANL strain gages, developmental strain gages, dome end support ring sections, and cork board insulation. These components were of the type proposed for the NERVA engine.
