FLOW FIELD STUDIES OF BALLISTIC BODIES,
Abstract
This report describes the improved experimental capability of the Physical Sciences Laboratory's hypervelocity range. The experimental and analytical results of the studies performed during FY 1966 are briefly described. Selected analytical results are presented which include studies of the bow shock wave location and shape, stagnation region, pressure profiles, base drag estimates, and wake velocity. Future studies are briefly discussed. (Author)
