DEVELOPMENT OF OFFSET TELESCOPE MOUNT, T214.

Abstract

The T214 offset telescope mount supports a T182 offset telescope in the turret of a T92 76-mm gun tank. Nomenclature was not assigned to the mount until August 1956, although its development had been undertaken some time earlier. The mount has three principal parts - a telescope-mount bracket, and upper clamp arm, and a lower clamp arm. Each is a nodular iron casting. (Author)
