OXIDE CATHODE AND PRIMARY GRID EMISSION STUDIES.

Abstract

Experiments on the analysis of the material evaporated from an oxide cathode have been held at a standstill by experiment difficulties. The molybdenum sheet used in this work contains a contaminating material, probably barium. The tube previously used for thermionic emission measurements has had a filament of high-purity iron, ''Svea'' metal, installed in it. The tube has been evacuated and is ready for measurement. Spectroscopic and chemical analyses are reported for the material evaporated onto the wall of an experiment diode with oxide cathode. (Author)
