REPORT ON TYPE TEST OF TD-4/APS-3 TARGET DISCRIMINATOR.

Abstract

This report covers all tests made on the TD-4/APS-3 Target Discriminator equipment. These tests have shown that satisfactory operation of the TD-4/APS-3 equipment is possible, provided the following changes are made: Capacitor C-1501 in the TD-4/APS-3 should be increased from 51 mmf to 500 mmf, when a type MD-5C/APS-3 modulator is used; mounts of the proper rating should be employed on a horizontal plane through the center of gravity; the delay control knob mechanism should be modified to prevent rotation during vibration.
