TDY JAMMING TESTS,

Abstract

The primary purpose of the tests conducted at the Chesapeake Bay Annex on 30, 31 May, 1 and 2 June was to determine the minimum jamming range of the TDY transmitter to jam out a destroyer echo against a 700 Mc fire control radar (Mark IV) mounted on another destroyer. From the information gathered during theses tests a suitable antenna for use with the TDY which would jam out a destroyer echo in to 6000 yeards was to be developed at Radio Research Laboratory.
