APPARATUS FOR OBTAINING LARGE SINGLE AND MULTIPLE SPARK SHADOWGRAPHS OF PROJECTILES AT SUPERSONIC VELOCITIES.

Abstract

The apparatus for obtaining single and multiple spark shadowgraphs of large dimensions for use in airflwo studies is described. The chief features are a point source of light of great brilliance and short photographic duration, reliable timing and triggering circuits, and a multiple (four) spark circuit employing a common spark head.
