Abstract
Test Set AN/URM-3 is intended for use primarily in the following applications: (1) as a means for determining the extent of suppression treatment required in the initial application of radio interference suppression systems to military vehicles, engine generator units, and miscellaneous electrical and electronic equipments; (2) as an inspection tool to determine the adequacy of suppression measures applied to production units of military vehicles or other equipment requiring radio noise suppression treatment, either for quality control at the source of production or for field checks on a sampling basis; (3) as a means of evaluating the extent of conducted noise or noise being radiated by any source of radio interference either suppressed or unsuppressed, to determine its potential effect on radio communications; (4) as a maintenance tool to restore faulty suppression systems to their original state or to the point where the suppressed equipment will not seriously interfere with radio communications.
