RESEARCH ANALYSIS IN UNDERWATER SOUND.

Abstract

This is an administrative report on the current status of the work of the Research Analysis Group in Brown University. As the Prospectus attached to this report indicates, the program of the group is devoted to: (1) basic research in subaqueous acoustics, tending toward a better understanding of the behavior of the sea as an acoustic medium; (2) analysis of the research results of other agencies in this field; (3) encouragement of liaison among the various laboratories engaged in underwater sound research and development.
