Lessons Learned, Headquarters, 92d Military Police Battalion.

Abstract

During the reporting period, the battalion was committed to three basic missions. First, it provided direct support in the form of military police and security personnel to the Commanding General, 1st Logistical Command, for port, vessel, and waterway security at the United States Army Terminals in Saigon, Newport, Cat Lai, and Vung Tau. The battalion also provided vehicles, communications equipment, and personnel for escorting US interest cargo from the various ports to first consignees. Secondly, the battalion provided personnel and equipment for the operation of combined police patrols on Highway QL No. 4 from Saigon to Can Tho and maintained combined police stations in Phu Lam, Tan An, My Tho, Vinh Long, Can Tho and Soc Trang. Thirdly, the battalion has the mission of providing for enforcement of discipline, law, and order in the city of Vung Tau. In addition, the battalion performed special operational commitments as directed by the 89th Military Police Group.
