Submarine Command and Control System Progress Brochure.

Abstract

This is a presentation of Project SUBIC accomplishments over the past two years. The major portion of the work was devoted to an extensive at-sea test aboard USS Pargo of a high-speed computer/display command and control station. History and progress of Daily System Operability Test (DSOT) program is reported. Several major supporting research efforts are reported including a detailed description of the New Submarine Sonar/Fire Control System beamforming design study, Ray Trace/Propagation Loss Prediction discussions tracing the history up to the present studies, the use of a Kalman filter for Target Location Analysis, a theoretical and experimental boundary layer investigation, and theoretical Sonar Signal Data Processing performed by Yale University under subcontract to SUBIC.
