Lessons Learned, Headquarters, Eighth Field Army Support Command

Abstract

The mission of this command is to provide combat service support to US Army forces in the Army Service area and to non divisional US units in I Corps (Gp) area plus Class I and III 'Thru-put' supply support, general support and overflow direct support maintenance to 2d and 7th Infantry Divisions and selected general and direct support maintenance to ROKA; to provide Class V supply support to all US Army units in Korea and limited Class V maintenance support to ROKA; to provide administrative support and service on an area basis, Post, Camp and Station functions; exercise territorial control and area damage control in Eighth FASCOM areas of responsibility and coordinate rear area security with the Second ROK Army, and to provide rail and highway movement control for US Forces.
