Abstract

The 1st Infantry Division, during the reporting period, continued in the performance of its general missions: In conjunction with GVN forces, the identification and destruction of local force VC and infrastructure in order to provide a secure environment to further GVN control over the area and people; Destruction of main force VC/NVA forces, equipment, and base camps; Assistance in the training and improvement of GVN forces; Overwatch of the TAOI; Area preparation (construction and destruction).
