Effects of Aircraft Roll on Target Acquisition Using Electro-Optical Sensors

Abstract

The effects of aircraft roll on ground locked electro-optical sensors has been investigated with emphasis on the detection and acquisition phases of the mission. It was found that roll rates up to 5 deg/sec were generally acceptable.
