Lessons Learned, Headquarters, 16th Aviation Group (Combat)

Abstract

The 16th Aviation Group (Combat) provides, supervises, and sustains Army aviation support of the Americal Division. Its responsibilities are to: (1) Command the major aviation elements of the Division; (2) Exercise special staff supervision over all Army aviation activities; (3) Supervise aircraft maintenance and supply; (4) Supervise flying safety program; (5) Participate in planning and execution of combat operations; and (6) Provide Army Aviation Element to the DTOC.
