Airmobile Operations in Support of Operation LAMSON 719 (101st Airborne Division)

Abstract

This report records and analyzes the history of airmobile operations conducted by the 101st Airborne Division (Airmobile), and those units under its operational control, in support of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces during LAMSON 719. The principal focus of this report is on US Army aviation support to RVNAF during their operations in Laos. The report covers the period from the initial airmobile combat assaults into Laos through the concluding airmobile raid into Laos. Major emphasis is placed on the period 8 February to 24 March, the date of the withdrawal of RVNAF forces from Laos.
